A Valuable Lesson I Learned
A few weeks ago, I went to the exhibition of Millet's paintings. Before I entered the gallery, I had already stood in line for hours. Suffered from boiling heat, I sweltered as if I were in an oven.Upon entered the gallery, I put on the earphones borrowed from the information desk. They could give me the introduction of all the paintings in the gallery. Suddenly, I noticed that an old woman who didn't know how to use the earphones stood still in front of a painting with anxiety on her face. I rushed to her without hesitation and helped her put on the earphones. It dawned on me that reaching out to others can really bring a great amount of happiness. That day, I not only appreciated many breathtaking paintings but also learned a valuable lesson with the smile full of gratitude given by the old woman.

"Flavors" of Studio Classroom's magazines
I am Jerry, a 21-year-old girl from Beijing. This is my first time to write to you, but believe it or not, I have learned [from] your program for more than eight years. All of you gave me a brilliant childhood and wonderful school days. Now I would like to tell you a sweet story about you and me. Juice, milk and coffee are my favorite beverages because they respectively have the flavors of Let's Talk in English, Studio Classroom and Advanced, which indicate three of my significant stages—junior high school, senior high school and university.
I still remember it was by chance that I tuned in to Let's Talk in English over my breakfast in one of my routine junior-highschool days. From then on, listening to Let's Talk in English with a glass of juice for breakfast became an indispensable part in my everyday life. With the help of Let's Talk in English, I entered a top senior high school. It was also the first time that I met my friend who had been grown into Studio Classroom. (I began buying the magazines.) Every night Studio Classroom accompanied a glass of milk. Compared with the juice's flavor, this drink was richer, stronger and more fragrant.
I became more mature with my intimate friend Studio Classroom day by day. Now, I am a senior in the university, and she metamorphoses into a wiser, more enchanting but more difficult to understand figure with a new name, Advanced. To fit her life rhythm, I have to get up early in the morning with the help of a cup of coffee. Dramatically, the moment I slurp my coffee, Advanced arises in my mind naturally. The feeling is a little bit bitter, but contains deeper aroma and longer aftertaste.
That's my sweet story I want to share with you. The articles in your magazines not only broaden my horizons, but also teach me how to be a [good] person.
Sincerely, I am eager to take this chance to express my appreciation to my life-long friend and give my best regards to Let's Talk in English, Studio Classroom and Advanced. I would like to take this chance to promise you that I will continue to support you for the rest of my life.
Yours,
Jerry
Thank you, Doris
I am a medical student. I have been your student for more than eight years since I was a senior high student. I just want to say thank you to you all. You really help a lot of students in Taiwan. I want to express my gratitude to teacher Doris Brougham. She is the most unselfish teacher I have ever known. Thank you to you all very much.
Best wishes,
Your student

Website connection
I often listen to your program via your website, but I found it'smore difficult to get on your web recently. I wonder if it is because there are too many people who want to connect to your website at the same time. It's good that there are so many people who want to learn English, but it's really inconvenient that some people couldn't listen [to] the program on time because of internet traffic jam. Therefore I would like to [ask] you to solve this technical problem as soon as possible. Thank you. :)
Sincerely,
Sharon

Webmaster's reply:
When too many people try to connect through the same Internet site at the same time, network congestion happens. You may also be accessing our site from a location that has a slow connection to the Internet. Since neither of these problems are in your control or our control to fix, we can only suggest you be patient and try to listen again at another time.
